Education and Society

This course explores the sociology of education, ranging from K-12 education in the US to higher education, as well as international and informal education. In this course, students will read sociological studies on society and education and to explore how research contributes to the development of key ideas/theories in the field.

Models of Social and Economic Justice

Sociology introduces us to the various social and economic issues in society. But what about their solutions? This course examines models of social and economic justice. This course will explore the theoretical foundations of justice and foundational economic models, social justice movements, and future visions for a just world.
